Pacific Mutual Fund Bhd respects the privacy of every individual who visits our website and utilise any services provided on our website. In the course of providing you with services, we need to collect and maintain certain non-public personal information about you. This Privacy Policy outlines the information we will collect, as well as how and to whom the information will be disclosed.

We have also included information on our security measures to protect the confidentiality and security of the information you provide. Please note that there are inherent risks when you send confidential information through the Internet site, e-mails and other electronic means or when you conduct transactions through the Internet. What are the types of information that we collect?

We collect information such as your name, contact details (such as address, e-mail address, phone number), date of birth, age, occupation, information on your accounts, and market research related information such as how you come to know about our homepage. These information are normally provided voluntarily when you complete an online form or request for service.

Apart from the above, our web-server or third party systems we subscribe to may collect information for traffic information. The information collected would be the number or site visitors (gathered via IP address logs), the date and time of visits, the number of pages viewed, technical information on browser connections, traffic patterns. This is anonymous statistical data and no attempt is made to identify users or their individual browsing activities. We use the aggregate date to evaluate our website performance and measure the interest in various areas of our site.
 

What are the types of information about you that we disclose?

We disclose your name, contact details (address, phone numbers, e-mail address). If you are our investor, the type of account you opened with us and the details of your account are disclosed under a secured site to the consultants who introduced you to our funds. Please note that the details on your account balance that we provide to the consultant are derived from our database. The account information is also accessible by our branch co-ordinator (co-ordinator). Information related to agency structure is disclosed to the consultants.
 

What are the types of information about you that we do not disclose?

We do not disclose information about our former investor and consultant. Therefore, once you have ceased to become our investor or consultant, the information about you will not be disclosed unless we are required to do so by law.

We do not disclose your account balance and trading activity except to the current servicing consultant who introduced you to our funds.

We do not disclose consultants' commission to anyone except our relevant employees.
 

How do we disclose the information about you?

We disclose information to the relevant authority and trustees of the funds as provided by law. Other than that, we disclose the information described above primarily to provide you with the financial services you seek from us. We may use the information to contact you and to provide you with details of our services that may be of interest to you.

We set up parameters or level of authority/access to ensure that certain individuals can only view certain information. Consultant who introduced you to our unit trust funds is authorised to view your account balance. If you are a consultant, you are authorised to view your own agency structure.
 

To whom do we disclose the information about you?

Access to the information about you is limited to our employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you, such as our customer service personnel and channel care personnel. Our Legal And Compliance Department may have access to the information about you if certain situation arise, to comply with legal requirement.

If you are currently investing in our funds, the consultant who introduces you to our funds is authorised to access your account information. This is to enable the consultant to keep track of the investment that goes through them. The co-ordinator is authorised to access the investor's account to facilitate our services to the investor.

Relevant authorities, trustees and EPF who are legally authorised to access the investors' information (in the case of investments under the EPF Scheme) are allowed to view the investors' information.

Employees of our holding company, OCBC Capital (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and its subsidiaries may have access to your name and contact details in the course of providing support services to us.

In some limited circumstances, such as marketing programme, we disclose information as stated above with the company conducting the marketing programme.
 

How do we protect the confidentiality and security of the information we received from you and what are our security measures?

When you send e-mail or submit forms available in our website, your mail will be channelled directly to our Client Services Department's inbox. Only employees from Client Services Department are authorised to view your e-mail and forms. If you are our consultant, the Channel Care Department may view your data. If you are an investor or a consultant who log in by using a password, we protect your account information by placing it on the secure portion of our website. When you key in your password to log in, our servers enabled the Secure Sockets Layer technology to prevent unauthorised parties from viewing the information you provide or access during a secure session. The data transmitted during secure session are encrypted.

However, if you are not our investor or consultant, or if you log in without using a password, the data transmitted during such session are not secured and not encrypted.
 

How can you maximise your security online and protect your confidential information?

Currently, if you are an investor, consultant or a co-ordinator of Pacific Mutual Fund Bhd, you may register to utilise our E-Service. A password would be provided to you. If you have been provided with a password, NEVER share your password with anyone. You are responsible to maintain the confidentiality or security of your password. If you suspect that another person have access to your password, you should contact our Client Services Department (if you are an investor) or our Channel Care Department (if you are a consultant) to terminate your current password and re-register for a new password.

Always exit by clicking "Log out" before shutting down your computer. If you are our investor or consultant who has obtain a password, you may have to wait at least 15 minutes before logging in again.
